Below you'll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about events and wedding planning.

Location

  • Can we help you decide on a location?

Of course! We’ve done plenty of scouting and have found some of Cape Town’s most beautiful and ideal elopement spots. We’re more than happy to share these secrets with you.

Witness

  • Do we have to have witnesses?

Yes, South African law demands it but if you want to keep your elopement to just the two of you, we’re happy to organise witnesses for you.

Guests

  • Can you bring guests?

Yes, we specialise in intimate celebrations – that includes your nearest and dearest if you want it to. Please pop us a mail and we’ll send you options.

Date

  • How do we secure our date?

To secure your date, we ask for a 50% deposit with the balance paid one month before your date.

Foreigners

  • We're foreigners, do you suggest getting legally married in our own country or doing it in south africa?

It’s a completely personal choice. Some couples choose to take care of the legalities at home because they decide it’ll be easy (and cheaper) that way and save the celebration for South Africa, while other couples don’t want to seperate the two. If you want us to handle the legalities, our marriage officer will talk to you about the documents we’ll need to make it official and also about your options with regards to the unabridged marriage certificate and, if necessary, getting that certificate apostilled.
